When you a stay at The Landing at Morro Bay in Morro Bay, you'll be near the bay, just steps from The Giant Chessboard and Morro Bay Skateboard Museum. All-in-all, this is a good, clean, hotel, that had everything we needed for our short stay in Morro Bay. There is a pretty cool hot tub room to relax in, but this is not really that important to me to have on trips. The microwave and fridge are in the closet. This is sufficient fuel to get going in the morning. However, there is some fresh fruit, cereals, milk, juice, assorted rolls, and chocolate muffins (for the kids, I guess). I presume this is for kids.neon colored, sugary. The only yogurt they have is ”Trix” yogurt. The breakfast is not that great, but they do have a waffle maker, which can be fun for kids. Now the one thing and as you read in the previous posts, the walls are super thin. The location is good with free parking and easy walking distance to all the sites, restaurants, and the Morro Rock. We did like that the soap, shampoo, containers were not the little throwaway bottles most hotels use and is a huge plastic waste. We were in 221 second floor and the rooms are big enough for two people with a nice bed, fridge, microwave, etc. We open the doors and let the cool breeze in to air the room out. Upon entering the room, there was a smell of bleach, which in the past would have been issue but told us the room was being sanitized. During these COVID times, the Inn practiced social distancing protocols with our check in being fast and good. Decided on a weekend break up the California coast to Morro Bay and chose the Fireside Inn to stay at for the weekend.
